These include the teaching role and responsibilities in education and training, ways to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, the relationships between teachers and other professionals in education and training, inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training and ways to create an inclusive teaching and learning environment.

This qualification is assessed by the completion of a portfolio of evidence, 15 minutes microteach and 45 minutes of appraising your peers
Entry Requirements
You must be 19 or over
You must be considering a subject for delivery and have achieved/be aiming to achieve a qualification and experience for that subject/skill at the appropriate level
You must have literacy levels suitable for reading and interpreting written tasks, and for writing clearly and coherently. You will complete a 30 minute hand written exercise at interview to demonstrate this.
Who is this qualification for?
This qualification provides a good basis to help learners get a ‘foot first’ into training. It is mainly aimed at those who will use pre-prepared training materials to effectively deliver training within the workplace, as opposed to a professional training qualification (such as education and training), which is more focused on procedures, protocol and regulatory requirements.
It is a practical qualification suitable for new and experienced trainers (external and internal) who wish to improve their classroom skills and obtain a training qualification that will also enable them to deliver regulated qualifications.
How long will it take?
The total qualification time (TQT) for this qualification is 15 hours and of this 12 are recommended as guided learning hours (GLH).
Topics covered
The focus of this qualification is on the effective delivery of training, allowing learners to develop planning, preparation and delivery skills, including delivery methods, questioning techniques and time management.
Assessment method
This qualification is assessed by a practical assessment and a self-evaluation report. Learners will need to practically demonstrate the delivery of either 1 or 2 micro-teaching sessions totalling 20 to 30 minutes.
Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is aimed at individuals who require training in conflict management. It is appropriate for a wide range of sectors and is suitable for anyone who has a customer facing role, deals with service users or the public. It can also be a useful qualification for individuals who would like a better understanding of how to prevent conflict situations from arising and feel more confident in being able to deal with situations if they arise.
How long will it take?
To complete this qualification, learners should expect to undertake a total qualification time (TQT) of 16-hours and of this 11-hours is recommended as guided learning (GL).

These include how communication can be used to solve problems and reduce the likelihood of conflict, the factors that influence human responses in conflict situations, how to assess and reduce risks in conflict situations, how to communicate effectively and de-escalate conflict in emotive situations and good practice to follow after conflict situations.

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice test.
